The first thing to do is search for any cells which can only have 2 digits in them.
These are: 3 (1 and 2), 4 (1 and 3), 16 (7 and 9) and 17 (8 and 9).
Lets look at the highlighted section. Look at the 4 in box 2. This means the 2 white boxes below it have to contain 1 and 3. We can then see because of the 3 just to the left of it the first box can't be a 3 and must be a 1.
